Client
Hermes (the company managing Larnaca and Paphos airports in Cyprus)
Bouygues Construction.
Concept
A visual identity inspired by traditional Cypriot embroidery and mosaics, reimagined through illustrations evoking both the island of Cyprus and the airport environment. This identity takes the form of panels with a dual function: to inform passengers about ongoing works whilst visually screening off these construction areas.
In total, over 300 m² of panels were produced.
Illustration and panel design
The illustrations, both graphic and contemporary, serve as a visual framework into which the text and 3D renderings of the future extension are harmoniously integrated.
Forming a continuous frieze, they accompany travellers along the airport walkway. The perspectives of the extension blend naturally into the grid created by the patterns or are incorporated directly into the geometric shapes of the visual identity, with a blue filter evoking a dreamlike projection of the futureairport.
